AVRR all-inclusive event was organized by IOM Mongolia
Ulaanbaatar - IOM Mongolia organized an all-inclusive event for the beneficiaries of Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration programme (AVRR programme) on October 12, 2024, at the United Nations House, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Twenty beneficiaries of the AVRR programme participated in the event. Through the event, IOM Mongolia provided the beneficiaries with a comprehensive medical checkup, business training, and group psychotherapy sessions.
The first part of the event, a comprehensive medical checkup, addressed the physical health of the participants and provided a preventive screening by specialized healthcare professionals. Secondly, business training provided information and insights to the beneficiaries on business startup and development, aimed at supporting the financial situation and income generation activities of the participants.
Finally, the two-hour psychotherapy session, facilitated by a professional psychologist, offered support in dealing with resettlement issues and stress. Moreover, the session provided an opportunity for the returnees to open up their thoughts and beliefs to others in similar situations, achieve self-acceptance, and build positive relationships with others.
