IOM Mongolia Hosts a Photography Contest on "Climate Change and Vulnerability"
Ulaanbaatar - IOM Mongolia is organising a photography contest on climate change and vulnerability from October 8 to October 22, 2024. The competition is a part of the project "Addressing the climate change-induced human mobility in Mongolia."
The theme of the contest is climate change-induced natural disasters and their effect on vulnerable people's lives. The vulnerable groups include the rural communities, women and children, herders, people living under the poverty line, and households residing in ger districts.
The winner of the contest will be awarded 1 million MNT. The award event will be held at the United Nations House, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
IOM Mongolia is accepting entries for the competitions online. Entries are open to all those who reside in Mongolia including professionals, amateurs, student photographers, and activists at the country level. The competition is open to all forms of photography taken since October 1, 2023. Entries must not glorify acts of violence, forms of abuse, or celebrate or suffering or humiliation of others.
